Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Aidanna ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these terms, you are prohibited from using the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Aidanna.
Description of Service
Aidanna is an AI-powered educational platform that teaches biochemistry through interactive storytelling, narrative explanations, and character-driven dialogue. The Service uses Google's Gemini API to generate personalised learning content.
User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access
- Providing accurate and complete information during registration
- Not sharing your account with any other person
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these requirements.
Subscription & Payment
Aidanna offers free and paid subscription plans:
- Free Plan: Limited monthly messages and lifetime audio generations
- Pro Plan: Higher daily message limits, increased audio access, and file uploads
- Institutional Plan: Same as Pro, for organisations
Subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis. We do not automatically charge your payment method — you initiate each payment. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Payments are processed securely through Paystack.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@aidanna.com within 7 days of a charge if you believe an error was made.
AI-Generated Content
The Service uses Google's Gemini API to generate educational content. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies or errors
- We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee completeness or correctness
- Critical information must be verified with authoritative clinical or academic sources
- The Service is a supplementary learning tool, not a replacement for formal education or professional advice
- Content is generated dynamically and may vary between sessions
Data & Google API
Paid subscribers: Your conversations are processed via Google's paid API. Under Google's terms for paid API usage, your content is not used to train or improve Google's models.
Free users: Content may be processed through standard API endpoints subject to Google's standard terms of service. We minimise data exposure through careful prompt engineering and do not send personally identifiable information to the API.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to extract, reproduce, or reverse-engineer the system prompt or underlying AI instructions
- Use the Service for medical diagnosis, clinical decision-making, or patient care without independent verification
- Transmit harmful code, malware, or disruptive content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure
- Share account credentials with others
- Use automated systems to access the Service without express permission
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of any party
Intellectual Property
The Aidanna platform, its design, branding, and proprietary prompt architecture are owned by Aidanna and protected under applicable intellectual property law.
Your content: You retain ownership of the questions and inputs you submit. By using the Service, you grant Aidanna a limited licence to process and store your inputs solely to provide the Service.
Generated content: AI-generated responses are provided for your personal educational use. You may not reproduce, resell, or redistribute generated content commercially without written permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AIDANNA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
- Defects will be corrected
- AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose
- The Service is appropriate for clinical, diagnostic, or professional use without independent verification
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY NIGERIAN LAW, AIDANNA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT FOR CLINICAL OR PROFESSIONAL DECISIONS.
Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or violates applicable law. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice within the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
